Delivering a KS3 Road Safety Programme Across the Isle of Wight
In partnership with Isle of Wight Council, The Riot Act delivered a bespoke Theatre in Education programme designed to help Year 7 students make safer decisions around roads. Combining live performance, interactive workshops and behaviour change techniques, the programme explored distraction, peer pressure and personal responsibility to encourage safer independent travel.

The Challenge
Isle of Wight Council wanted to provide an engaging road safety intervention for Year 7 students as they became more independent travellers. The programme focused on helping students recognise the dangers of distraction, resist peer pressure and make safer decisions around roads while supporting the council's wider road safety objectives.
Our Solution
We designed and delivered a bespoke Theatre in Education programme combining live performance, interactive workshops and behaviour change techniques. Through relatable characters, realistic scenarios and audience participation, students explored the consequences of distraction and peer influence while developing the confidence to make safer choices around roads.
