Delivering a KS3 Road Safety Programme Across Essex

 

In partnership with the Safer Essex Roads Partnership, The Riot Act designed and delivered a bespoke Theatre in Education programme to support Year 7 students during one of the most significant transitions in their lives. Delivered across 52 secondary schools, the programme combined live theatre, interactive workshops and behaviour change techniques to encourage safer decision making around roads and independent travel.

The Challenge

The Safer Essex Roads Partnership wanted to deliver an engaging programme that would help Year 7 students recognise these risks, understand the consequences of unsafe behaviour and feel confident making safer choices during their everyday journeys and linked to their Vision Zero campaign.

Our Solution

We designed and delivered a bespoke Theatre in Education programme combining live performance, interactive workshops and behaviour change techniques. Working closely with schools across Essex, our team managed every aspect of delivery from scheduling through to evaluation.
